Hamlet's House Discussion Forum - Rules of Conduct and useful Members Information:

When you register to join Hamlet's House please ensure you submit your correct email address.
Accounts cannot be activated if an email address is invalid - these will be subsequently deleted.
When you join Hamlet's House you will not be able to log in until your email address has been validated, AND THEN submitted for Admin approval.
Once your account has been activated by Admin you will then be able to log in and use the forums.
You will be able to post and view most of the forum, certain areas are restricted to subscription Gold Members Only.

1. Each account is for one person ONLY - accounts which are 'shared' will be banned. Users who create multiple accounts will be banned. Each user may not have the same or very similar username, i.e. if there is already user 'name' you may not register as 'n4me' or 'nameinteger' these will be deleted.
Following abuse of the pm/email system and several forum members being upset by 'hidden' full members, the accounts and previous posts of all members who choose not to be seen will be removed if these rules are ignored.

2. No bad language will be tolerated. Posts with content that deliberately avoids the swear filter will be removed without notice.

3. Be respectful to others.
DO NOT discuss other people or their ponies in a manner which could be construed as insulting, ill informed, offensive, upsetting or containing or implying a slight or showing prejudice.
DO NOT post anything which could knowingly damage an individuals reputation, business or infringe copyright.
Note that all members of the forum admin and moderators are real people, who cannot be online 24/7.
Anyone sending abusive or threatening messages to site admin or moderators will have their account terminated without notice, regardless of current subscription status.

4. NO spamming; this includes the posting of chain email content.
NO sales or business advertisement unless in authorised areas or those which follow specific posting guidelines.
Any others will be deleted.

5. Only post pictures of a sensible size upto 800px width maximum.

SIGNATURES: one image maximum height 100px, max width 600x, max 50Kb.
NO website links or advertisement in your signature.
If you need hosting for your photographs try: http://www.photobucket.com There is guidance to picture posting in the forum Q&A section.

6. Do not use text speak - not everyone can understand it. These posts will be removed without warning.
Do not post in capitals - such posts on a forum are considered as shouting.
Do not duplicate or 'bump' posts or threads.
These posts will be removed without warning.
Be considerate of others and try to word posts in a manner in which everyone can understand.

7. Only post in English, anything written in another language will be immediately deleted.

8. DO NOT link to: Ebay Avertisements, Chat Rooms or Discussion Forums.

9. If you choose to display personal information in your profile such as age, location and gender, this information must be correct.

10. PLAY NICELY - anyone being naughty will go to bed without dinner. Anyone who breaks the rules may be subject to their account being banned. in this case no refund will be given to subscription members.

Hamlet's House - Forum Subscription Information

Q How much does it cost to fully access the Archives and forum?
A The current subscription fee for full membership access is £9.99 for a 12 month period.
This service does not automatically renew.

Q How do I subscribe?
A Click on 'My controls' at the top right corner of the page, and then 'Purchase Paid Subscription' from the left hand panel.............. and then follow the instructions from there.

Q What do I get for my subscription?
A Full Access to all members areas of Hamlet's House.

Subscription members will also gain the following privileges...
PM inbox for 250 messages. Fill your boots!
Upload images directly to the forum, with user control panel to maintain your image files.
Post edit facility for limited duration.
Private and business, including website, advertisements within the classified sections of the forum.

Great Big Pony Archive information

Q What is the Great Big Pony Archive?
A The archive is a compilation of over 23000 ponies to date, grouped together by herd number or prefix. Each pony has its own listing, which can feature showing and competition record, plus first generation pedigree information, where known. Note that no personal or private information is held or published.

Q What can I use the Archive for?
A Any Native Pony Enthusiast will find reading the Archive to be of interest. You may look up previous ponies, seek information and show record for specific studs.
Use the search facility; when a prefix is entered, all threads will be generated where the indicated prefix featured in the pedigree.

Q Can I add my pony/stud to the archive?
A Yes. If your pony or stud isn't already featured in the archive, you may submit them for future update. There are guidelines on how to submit updates within the archive itself. Website or Stud links, and / or related images are acceptable submission. Please note that all information submitted must be copyright free; Hamlet's House are given permission by default to publish this on the website or by other means. Hamlet's House are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third party websites.
Any information published on the forum is offered as a guide only, errors may occur. No guarantee of accuracy is offered or implied.

Q Can I remove my pony from the archive?
A Yes. You may request current information, and the subsequent removal of, for any pony that you own. Contact Site Admin for help.

Q I wish to add specific results for my pony, are only County level results featured in the Archive?
A No! It doesn't matter if the pony is champion at HOYS, or 5th at your local gymkhana; all relevant information is worthy submission. The more the merrier - join in!

Q My pony was Supreme Champion at Bodmin Moor Show 2001, why isn't this information included in the current archive?
A There is a simply massive amount of information yet to be added to the archive. If certain information isn't featured, it doesn't mean it has been missed!
The Great Big Pony Archive will be updated on a continuous basis. If there is information you think should be included - please submit this for all to see!
